This policy applies to any communication that you may receive from us either as Lakeland Ascents, as Highland Ascents or as Lake District Activities by Lakeland Ascents.

How we collect information
Our Contact Forms collect data that we need to enable us to get back to you and answer your question. This data is password protected and stored securely on external cloud storage. We keep this data for 1 year from the date of enquiry.
Course and activity bookings
When you book a course or activity we will ask for certain data to enable us to share information with you about your booking. Without this data we cannot book you onto a course or activity. This data is password protected and stored securely on external cloud storage. We keep this data for 6 years from the date of booking.
We will share some of this basic data with our instructors, usually a day or 2 before your event. This is to ensure we provide you with the best customer experience and to enable the instructors to contact you if there is an issue on the day of your event.
When you book a course of activity you will be asked to complete a Consent Form. This data is password protected and stored securely on external cloud storage. We keep this data for 6 years from the date of booking. We ask for this data so that we can tailor your day to any specific medical needs that you may have. We also hold this data so that in the event of an accident we can pass your emergency contact details to the Emergency Services.
We do not collect any payment information from you. This is done by our online booking system provider, Rezdy and the payment merchant, Stripe. Payment information is secured with 2048-bit encryption.
If you consent, we will add your email address to a mailing list. This is managed by the provider SendInBlue. You can unsubscribe from this list at any time by clicking the links on the bottom of the newsletters, or by contacting us directly..
We do not sell your personal data to any third parties under any circumstances
Visitor IP addresses are logged as part of the daily website statistic gathering. This is a common occurrence on the majority of websites. It is used only for the accurate reporting of statistics.
